Behind The Scenes for Your Clients + MODbotanicals

Illustrative Designer Lisa Ballard, whom I’ve had the pleasure of working with collaboratively on numerous projects, just recently became my client. It’s a definite shift and we both had laughs over how the words, “I’m the Client” sounded coming out of her mouth!  And you know what? I’ll take Lisa as a client 24/7 365 days of the year.

Lisa is developing a line of illustrated wall hangings called FABricART, which will be shared via the first of many lookbooks. When we initially sat down to discuss the best ways to present her wall hangings, it was clear we would need room sets, additional props, etc.  That gave the added opportunity of bringing in another long time friend and collaborator, production/set designer/prop stylist, Nora Martini, who I love working with any chance I get. As well as culinary food stylist Jeff Martin.
A win, win, win combination, imho.

This past Friday was the first photo shoot for the book, and, the first official photo shoot in my new studio ~

Tip:

How excited and amazed do you think your clients would be to see a post like this one, or see a handful of tagged images on social media, or if you can’t share them publicly,  receive them in an email from you?

Let me guess – VERY.

Sometimes it’s the smallest gestures we do for our clients that make the biggest impacts.

Just some food for thought the next time you have the opportunity to ‘snap’ a few shots that would make your client’s day and bump your level of ‘team player’ up a notch.

Volume One’s Lookbook, MODbotanicals, is finished and you can see it HERE.

For today, a few bts phone snaps from our day and a little peek of what Lisa has up her creative sleeve.
