It’s well documented that I am a graphic design junkie, and play one whenever I get the opportunity. Back in the day, artist and graphic designer, Lori Siebert, of Olika and Lori Siebert Studio, used to let me come by her studio (after hours), perch behind one of her beautiful graphic design desks, and give me the simplest of tasks to ‘work’ on. May I just tell you how wonderful it was, and I still think happily on those times, all these years later.
Thus, when I was asked to photograph Lori for the current issue of Where Women Create Magazine, I was excited, to be sure. Lori’s gorgeous, bustling studio is filled with endless eye candy perched, taped, set up, and displayed everywhere. There was no shortage of her talents, or of photo ops, for her story.
As we creatives know, it can be tough to turn our passions into a sustainable business, but Lori has managed to do so beautifully, and still going strong. Read what she, as well as the other women entrepreneurs in the issue, has to say about art and business, in the Winter 2015 Issue.
