Time for another food photography challenge/prompt inside our Grey Salt Collective community and this was a Spring Asparagus recipe interpretation.
I get a lot of questions about using artificial light vs. natural light, so I took this prompt as an opportunity to show both kinds of lighting in various positions relative to the main dish.
I want to encourage all of you to take the time to experiment.
It doesn’t have to be labor intensive, or take an entire day.
This whole shoot from start to finish, including cooking, didn’t take more than an hour.
This time it was about exploring lighting, but on another shoot, it may be composition.
Learn to learn, by doing.
