CRAFTED VISUAL NARRATIVES

gina
.. dressing up my little sister (and all her friends) for the fashion shoots I staged in my bedroom at 15. I fancied being a fashion photographer, make-up artist, art director & magazine designer. Instead of moving back to NYC in my early 20’s, I moved to the Midwest. Nothing against the Midwest, but face it, that dream got put on a big hold.
Oh, but there’s always a silver lining.
Almost blindly, I fell into the world of commercial, editorial, film production as a make-up, prop & wardrobe stylist.
See – all those bedroom shoots prepped me.
I worked alongside the most creative clients, art directors, directors, cinematographers, and photographers for more than 25 years. I absorbed every drop.
I slipped back into photography in 2008, landing in food in 2010. It was that or re-visiting fashion, but the ginormous amount of energy needed for that was long gone.
Life is funny. I often wonder how this introvert arrived here.
photographer, stylist, art director + Educator
Images of food, with a healthy sprinkling
of people, places and lifestyles.
Most of the time all the above, editorially
and preferably with a story.
Hands down, I’m driven to create
VISUAL NARRATIVES for my clients.
Workshops. Gave my first in person one in 2013, online workshops + one-on-one mentoring followed.
Along the way I dreamed up Grey Salt Collective, which is probably why you’re here.
But, if you’re looking for more,
I want you to know I handle that too.
